Last week I shared with you Sam’s bathroom makeover, and today it’s Izzy’s turn! Before we get into it, I want to show you a before pic. Â Izzy’s bath had the same thing going on as Sam’s did. Â It was new, it was clean, but it was builder’s boring. I basically did the exact…
white walls | facing my fear
I’ve been dragging my feet in picking out a paint color for the new house. I wanted to go with my Paint BFF, Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter, since I loved it in our last house. Easy enough right? Wrong. They told me I had to go with their paint company. I froze like a deer in headlights. Kerrrrr-appp!!! …

Did you roll your eyes at the title of the post? Yet ANOTHER Frozen themed birthday party??? I can’t blame you because I did the same thing when Izzy told me she wanted a Frozen birthday. But, it has been all she has talked about for almost a year so Momma decided to suck it…

home resolutions 2012
I’ve never been a fan of New Years resolutions for myself. Mostly because I KNOW I’ll end up breaking them within the first month, if I even make it that far. But, the thought of home resolutions, or things I’d like to finally get finished in our home, seems much more do-able. I can count on my…
DIY Decorative Bowl
When I shared with you my new wishbone dining chairs, I also gave you a peek at my newest DIY project, the white decorative edge bowl on the table. I love that there is a large appreciation for handmade, one of a kind items in home decor lately. Hand woven baskets, tribal fabrics, pottery and…
color my world – week 3
Time for this week’s Color My World Challenge! This week’s challenge (and a challenge it most definitely was) was to incorporate pink through paint. I can tell you right now, you are not going to see my dining room walls pink 😀 I decided I wanted to give it a go at painting a, well… painting. Good grief…

I love a painted piano – how exciting to give a piece like that a whole new look! Look forward to seeing your "after"!
I have been looking at my piano and contemplating painting it, but everyone looks at me like me like I'm nuts for thinking to paint a piano. Now I could show them how beautiful yours is turning out and I could win them over. Thanks for the inspiration!
Ooh! Excited to see how it turns out! I've always wanted a cool painted piano…
So many memories! I am so glad that you have it. I was worried no one would take it…and it would go to some random place. How many times did you cry throughout the process? I was going to through old photos and found one our visits and just stared at her. I miss her.
What color are you painting it? Did you prime it right there on the carpet? Wow! You are one busy lady.

Can't wait to see it! Yep, that's how I roll too. When I stare at anything too long, my husband starts to get very nervous!
I wish I had the motivation to paint our dresser – it's been on my to-do list since I don't know the fall. Please send some of your motivation my way!! 🙂
Oh my goodness, I am loving the piano redux! That gray paint is fabulous!
What?! Can't wait to see it!
Wow, wonderful! My piano could stand to be refinished. What did you sand it with?
