2012 home resolutions revisited
Last year I decided to make home resolutions. A list a things I wanted to get done around the house before the end of the year. It’s much easier to hold myself to things like that instead of pretending that I’ll actually go to the gym regularly. Yesterday I went through last year’s home resolutions to see how I…
new dining room table and switcheroos
I got a new dining room table last week! This is 10 years in the making people. Kinda still in shock. But before you look at the photo, I feel the need to explain it first. This was a phone pic I randomly took to send to my husband so he could see it. I didn’t…
DIY skirted table | no sew
I don’t know about you guys, but when I start a project it’s spur of the moment. There’s never a good time to start. That’s how this project was. Sam was asleep, Izzy was deep into Frozen, and instead of using that precious time to clean up my trashed house I thought, “I’m gonna do this instead”! …
office before
Our home office has been in an unfinished state for what feels like ages. When we moved in the office was just a blank room. No cabinets, closets, or storage of any type. We placed all of the random office stuff that truthfully never worked in any of our homes, and planned to mess with…

dining room progress
I was going to post this yesterday morning, but the night before I was feeling crummy and opted to eat ice cream and Oreos. You know, for my throat 😉 But seriously, I did make it feel better! Anywho… this is what the dining room looks like as of today. I took advantage of my mom…

NewestSuch an awesome chandelier! Once you get it up, I bet it will look great.
It's going to be ok! It'll look fantastic, you just have to get use to it. Tell yourself: Go big or go home. 🙂
Oh no! and you were so excited about it!! BUT I do really think it's going to look awesome once it's hung. Don't panic yet. Get it up and then give yourself some time to get use to it like the others said!!
That chandelier is going to be sooo awesome!!! I love it!! Can't wait to see it up.
It may be big, but it looks light and airy…so in some way that makes it seem smaller…Does that help? I think it will look awesome! I hate that feeling though, so I know what you're going through…you have excellent taste, it will look amazing!
NO LIE! It is going to be incredibly fabulous! In my opinion, every room needs a fabulous statement piece and this is it!
Well…I'm just gonna tell ya….I LOVE IT! There. And I didn't even have to lie. How awesome is that? =) Looks amazing.

YES!!! This is totally going to rock once it's up and that wall is cleared off. I am so loving its hugeness. Really. Just get it up and you'll get used to it's size!
It will be fine! I know it will look gorgeous once everything goes up and is in place. No sweat, my dear!

One time someone told me that there's no such thing as a chandelier that is too big. I tend to agree, most people have a chandy that's too small, so I think it's great to have one a little larger, yours will look amazing, I just know it.
It's a signature piece!

Everything is going to be OK. You are just used to a smaller scale – it is going to be simply beautiful and once you’ve removed the hutch and perhaps a statement mirror is hung in its place it will be a magical space! Well done.
